The core objective of the workshop was to familiarize the parent with various language-teaching skills so that they can teach their child and help them conceptualize their learning when they are not in school. The phonic song was played by the teacher that gave parents an idea about the various sounds each letter has and how those letters can be taught to children using flashcards, picture cards and fun songs. The teacher demonstrated in detail the importance and use of phonics, various aspects of language development, various methods of enhancing the language, and a recognition game that can be played at home with children to strengthen their vocabulary. In light of the above, teachers discussed the Standard Operating Procedures with students and reminded them of all the National School Safety Policy guidelines and apprised them with several Covid-19 safety measures. The class assembly which was held in the classroom with fifteen students in one batch started with the school pledge and was followed by school prayer to invoke the blessing of Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of Learning.īasic principles can help keep students, teachers and staff safe at school and help stop the spread of this disease.
