Children sang on the song – 'Hey Sharde Maa', ‘Maa Saraswati sharde’ and also offered yellow flowers to the Goddess and brought yellow coloured food items/snacks in their tiffin.
The virtual celebration started with ‘Saraswati Vandana’- invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati for seeking knowledge and prosperous life. The children offered prayers to Goddess Saraswati. The students and the staff were dressed in yellow attire to mark the occasion. The onset of the Spring season was celebrated both on/off-campus with great fervour and enthusiasm at CMS Aliganj 2 Campus on 16th February 2021.
It is the festival dedicated to Goddess Saraswati who is the Goddess of knowledge, language, music and arts. Basant Panchami is celebrated on the 5th day of Hindu month Maagh to acknowledge the conversion of chilly winter air to the soothing cold breeze and a beginning of happiness and joy. Yellow colour – representative of spiritual knowledge, is given importance on Basant Panchami. “Basant Panchami” is an occasion celebrated to worship Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. The core objective of the workshop was to familiarize the parent with various language-teaching skills so that they can teach their child and help them conceptualize their learning when they are not in school. The phonic song was played by the teacher that gave parents an idea about the various sounds each letter has and how those letters can be taught to children using flashcards, picture cards and fun songs. The teacher demonstrated in detail the importance and use of phonics, various aspects of language development, various methods of enhancing the language, and a recognition game that can be played at home with children to strengthen their vocabulary. The session was followed by the teachers of the Pre-Primary wing addressing the parents where the teacher introduced 26 letters and their sounds. They all enjoyed their first face to face classes and went back home happily under full precautions.Īn Online Fitzroy Phonics Workshop was organized for the parents of the Pre-Primary wing of CMS Aliganj- II on 30th January 2021 under the guidance of our Respected Principal, Ms. The children were very happy and had smiles on their faces after seeing their teachers and classmates after ten months of online classes.

The guidance provided children themselves in promoting safe and healthy schools and how to keep their school virus free. In light of the above, teachers discussed the Standard Operating Procedures with students and reminded them of all the National School Safety Policy guidelines and apprised them with several Covid-19 safety measures. The class assembly which was held in the classroom with fifteen students in one batch started with the school pledge and was followed by school prayer to invoke the blessing of Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of Learning.īasic principles can help keep students, teachers and staff safe at school and help stop the spread of this disease. The teachers clapped for the students and motivated them on their arrival. Samvida Adhikari welcomed the students with the traditional Aarti Thaal and blessed each one of them to be safe and secure. Since precautions are necessary to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19 in school settings, thus all the safety measures were taken-up like social distancing, temperature check, foot sanitization and foot-press hand sanitization for students on the first day of school.
City Montessori School, Aliganj II Campus celebrated Vidya Ka Parv on the opening day of school for Junior section on 10th February 2021 under our new normal after the sudden lockdown due to the pandemic.
